AK letters: What was the development process like for the Oral Health Inclusions Formula?
Dr. Gary: The development process for our Oral Health formula has been years in the making. It stems from years of research and studying the impacts of poor oral health in animals - mainly horses, cats and dogs. I’ve worked with many high performing Kentucky Derby race horses throughout my career and I take the same approach to the oral health of multi-million dollar horses as I do for your best friend.
AK letters: From a medical standpoint, why is oral health so essential to our pet's general health?
Dr. Gary: From an overall wellbeing perspective, preventing organ and tissue damage. Bacteria in the plaque can enter the bloodstream and spread to the heart, kidneys and liver. This spread of bacteria, called bacteremia, can damage organs and make pets quite sick. Good oral health will help prevent bacteremia and subsequent organ damage.
